Fragrances for Dad

June 9, 2016 - Posted by Mickey Tortorelli

Men's Fragrances are a popular choice for many who are shopping for a gift for Father's Day, but picking the perfect fragrance can be difficult when there are so many options! To help your customer find the perfect scent, ask them to describe dad, and ask questions related to age, favourite activities, career etc. This way you will get a better grasp of the recipient's image and personality and give suggestions accordingly. Below are some common personalities and corresponding fragrances to get you started:

Executive Dad

Executive Dads are white collar professionals such as lawyers, doctors, bankers and accountants. As they interact with many people every day, the fragrance for them should be subtle and sophisticated.

Suggestion: Eternity for Men by CALVIN KLEIN

Top notes are lavender, mandarin orange, bergamot and lemon; middle notes are coriander, lily, orange blossom, juniper berries, basil, jasmine, sage, lily-of-the-valley and geranium; base notes are sandalwood, amber, musk, vetiver and brazilian rosewood. - Fragrantica

Classic Dad

Classic Dads are just as the name suggests - they are more mature and subtle, and enjoy spending time tending to the garden and their grandchildren. Rather than suggesting a new fragrance, the best fragrance would be the one that they consider their signature scent!

Suggestion: Dad's signature scent!

Sportsman Dad

Sportsman Dads LOVE sports - whether they actively play it, or watch it on TV. They usually prefer refreshing and brisk scents, as well as their companion products.

Suggestion: Acqua di Gio Pour Homme by Giorgio Armani

The composition is built of a perfect harmony of sweet and salty notes of sea water and nuances of sunny warmth on your skin. Bitter citrus with aromatic nuance of rosemary intertwines with salty, sea nuances and pellucid hedione. Sharp notes of spices are softened by woody base with warm, musky trail. - Fragrantica
