Packing what you’ll tote around with you all day is about choice and purpose. It’s about knowing the difference between what you want and what you need.

Spring is here and we've also officially stepped into the wedding season! We absolutely love seeing bridal makeup because the brides are always glowing with natural beauty. However, regardless of how flawless a makeup application is, brides are bound to have some mishaps throughout their big day and with all the hustle and bustle, it's vital to have quick and easy products that do their jobs well.

We thought it would be useful to make a checklist for a bridal emergency makeup bag to give you ideas of what products to suggest for your brides, and here's what we have in mind:

Lipstick and Lipbalm
In between the many kisses, food and drinks over the day, a lip touch up here and there is inevitable. Suggest longwear lipsticks so that the bride can minimize the amount of times spent touching up and a lipbalm for backup in case the lips get chapped - keep those lips photoready!

  • MARC JACOBS BEAUTY Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick

Concealer or Stick Foundation
There will be cases where stubborn blemishes peak through the makeup as the day goes by. Packing a concealer or stick foundation will give the bride a peace of mind, knowing that she can quickly cover up those blemishes and not worry about using brushes or potential product spills.

  • MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Concealer or Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation

Mini Eyeshadow Palette
As the bride transitions from the ceremony to reception, she may want to change up her makeup look. Packing a versatile eyeshadow palette, with a good range of shades and finishes, would allow the bride to quickly touchup or add to her makeup! Suggest a palette that comes with a mini brush to minimize the clutter.

  • BAREMINERALS READY(TM) 8.0 Power Neutrals

Blush and Highlight
Again, when it comes to the reception, the bride may want to amp up her makeup for a more appropriate evening look. Suggest a cream blush and highlighter as they can be applied easily with fingertips - eliminate the fuss or worry about bringing extra make up brushes!

  • TARTE Cheek Stain
  • BENEFIT Watt's Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter

Pressed Setting Powder and Puff
With all the moving around, outdoor photo shoots or even nervousness, the extra oils and sweat can ruin even the longest wear foundations. A pressed powder will whip away any shine and also help buff out any cakiness to freshen up the face.

  • TOO FACED Primed and Poreless Pressed Powder

Lash Glue
False lashes are in popular demand for bridal makeup nowadays - and with good reason. Not only do they help open up the eyes, they also look amazing photographed! But they can be a double-edged sword if they aren't applied securely. Having lash glue on hand will save the bride from stressing about her lashes potentially coming off during the day.

  • DUO Eyelash Adhesive

Makeup Wipes and Cotton Swabs
In the case of makeup smudges or getting makeup on clothes, makeup wipes come in handy to quickly clean up any mess. Cotton swabs will be great for correcting fine details when makeup is reapplied.

  • OLAY Makeup-up Remover Wet Clothes

Finally, with things being so hectic, it will always seem like everything that can go wrong WILL go wrong - Murphy's Law, right?. Quality bobby pins (none of those Dollarama ones), safety pins and double sided tape will definitely come in handy in case of hair and wardrobe malfunctions. To be extra safe, you can also recommend packing a mini sewing kit! Tide-to-go and a nail clipper will also be handy.
