Beauty Retail Trend: Blush

June 12, 2015

The recent colour cosmetics front has been all about the highlight and contouring, but an article by Anna Dysinger on WWD predicts that blush might be the next big thing! The category increased 3 percent in the prestige market for the year ending March 2015, according to The NPD Group. Makeup marketers are hoping for a boost this spring with a host of innovative new formats. Below are a few upcoming and newly released products that are speculated to be a game changer:

1. Too Faced Love Flush, Sweet!

The highly pigmented shades deposit bold color and are said to last for up to 16 hours.

2. Dior Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition Blush Harmony

The superfine texture and blend of colors create a soft, sun- kissed effect on skin.

3. Chanel Les Beiges Blush

The creamy formula in stick format blends easily to highlight or sculpt cheekbones for a day-in-Deauville vibe.

4. Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush

Featuring shades ranging from neutral peach to bright purple, this powder has light-diffusing pigments to help hide imperfections.

5. Rodial Hyaluronic Cheek Sculpt

Part of the brand's first makeup collection, this tinted gel features hyaluronic acid to help plump cheeks.
