Shiseido’s In Vitro Test More Accurate Than Animal Testing

We've always wondered how conclusive animal testing really is, especially considereing the fact that they have such a different genetic make-up from ours. Not to mention the ethical connotations it has. We're so glad that Shiseido and the Kao Group have pioneered a different method to testing products in a much more sustainable and ethical way. Shiseido and the Kao Group’s human Cell Line Activation Test (h-CLAT) has been adopted as a globally recognised official test method for skin sensitisation by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), providing an alternative to animal testing.
